Delete your account

TINE by Pluto Tech Ltd gives you a second phone number for calls and texts. You can delete your TINE account and its data at any time. When you do it in the app or on the web, deletion is immediate and can't be undone.

1. Delete in the App

Open the TINE app on Android or iPhone and go to Settings → Delete account. Confirm, and sign in again if the app asks you to. Your account is deleted straight away.

2. Delete on the Web

Sign in at tinetech.org, open Settings and choose Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm, then sign in again when asked. Your account is deleted straight away.

4. What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account:

Your TINE phone numbers are released and cannot be recovered
Your number subscriptions, whether you pay through Stripe, PayPal or Google Play, and any Developer API subscription are cancelled
Your text and picture messages are deleted
Your call history, voicemails and call recordings are deleted
Your contacts are deleted, including any synced from your phone
Teams you own are deleted, you are removed from other teams, and your API keys are deleted
Your profile, settings, credit balance and sign-in are deleted

Any remaining credit and any unused time on a plan is forfeited, and is not refunded.

5. What We Keep

Payment records held by Stripe, PayPal, Google Play and Apple, which they keep under their own legal obligations
Anything we are required to keep by law
Records of messages refused by our abuse screening, with a short excerpt, kept for up to 90 days to prevent abuse
Logs of calls and messages kept by our telephony provider (Twilio) under its own retention rules

Deleted data rolls off our backups within 30 days.
