What kind of UK number do I get?

A UK mobile number starting with +44 7. People in the UK can call and text it like any other mobile number.

Do I need to live in the UK?

No. You can sign up from anywhere and pick a UK number, with no UK address or UK SIM card.

How much does a UK number cost?

$8.00 a month, $21.49 for 3 months, $41.99 for 6 months or $79.99 a year (about $6.67 a month). Every plan includes calling and texting credit. After that, texts cost $0.09 to send and $0.025 to receive per 160-character segment, outgoing calls $0.035 a minute and incoming calls $0.025 a minute. You can top up from $5.

Who can I text and call from a UK number?

UK numbers can text and call UK numbers. Texts and calls to other countries, including the US and Canada, aren't supported.

Can I send picture messages?

No. UK numbers send and receive text messages (SMS) only, not picture messages (MMS).

Will it receive verification codes?

It receives SMS, including one-time codes from most apps and websites. Some services, often banks and a few social apps, refuse all virtual numbers, so we can't promise every service will work. If a code matters, test your number with that service first.

Can I call emergency services?

No. Emergency calls (911, 999, 112) aren't supported. Use your phone's own dialer for emergencies.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There's no contract, and you can cancel from your account at any time. If you release a number it can't be recovered, so keep your plan active for any number you still need.
