Messaging Policy
Last updated October 15, 2026
This Messaging Policy applies to all SMS and MMS text messages sent and received through the TINE platform. By using TINE to send or receive text messages, or by receiving a text message from a TINE virtual phone number, you agree to the terms described below.
1. About TINE Messaging
TINE is a virtual phone number platform operated by Pluto Tech Ltd ("TINE", "we", "our", or "us"). TINE enables its registered users to send and receive SMS and MMS text messages through virtual phone numbers purchased on the platform. This Messaging Policy describes the types of messages that may be sent through TINE, how recipients can opt in and opt out, and our compliance practices under applicable messaging regulations including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and carrier requirements.
2. Types of Messages
The following types of messages may be sent through TINE virtual phone numbers:
- Conversational Messages: Person-to-person conversations initiated by TINE users with their contacts, clients, or leads
- Transactional Messages: Order confirmations, appointment reminders, delivery updates, account notifications, and similar service-related messages
- Informational Messages: Business updates, follow-ups, and customer care responses
TINE does not permit unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, or marketing messages to recipients who have not provided prior express consent. See our Terms of Service for acceptable use policies.
3. Consent & Opt-In
TINE requires that all message recipients have provided prior express consent before receiving text messages from a TINE user. Consent may be obtained through:
For TINE Platform Users
By creating a TINE account and purchasing a virtual phone number, you consent to send and receive SMS/MMS messages through the TINE platform. You also consent to receive service-related messages from TINE, including account alerts, security notifications, and billing confirmations. You may revoke this consent at any time by contacting support@tinetech.org or by deleting your account.
For Message Recipients (People Receiving Messages from TINE Numbers)
If you receive a text message from a TINE virtual phone number, it means a TINE user has initiated a conversation with you. TINE users are required under our Terms of Service to obtain your consent before messaging you. If you did not consent to receive messages, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to the message (see Section 5 below).
Consent Is Not Required for Purchase
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any TINE product or service.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on usage. TINE is a communication platform — the number of messages you send or receive depends on your conversations and usage of the service. TINE does not automatically generate recurring marketing messages. Service-related messages from TINE (such as account alerts) are sent only as needed and are typically infrequent.
5. Opt-Out / STOP
You can opt out of receiving text messages from any TINE number at any time by using the following methods:
- Reply STOP: Reply "STOP" to any message received from a TINE number. You will receive a one-time confirmation message: "You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe."
- Reply CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or END: These keywords also work to unsubscribe.
- Contact Us: Email support@tinetech.org with the phone number you wish to stop receiving messages from, and we will process your opt-out request.
After opting out, you will not receive any further messages from that TINE number unless you re-subscribe by replying START or YES.
6. HELP & Support
If you need assistance or have questions about messages you received from a TINE number:
- Reply HELP: Reply "HELP" to any message from a TINE number. You will receive a response with support information: "TINE Messaging Support. For help, visit https://tinetech.org or email support@tinetech.org. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
- Email: Contact support@tinetech.org
- Website: Visit https://tinetech.org
7. Message & Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges for text messages depend on your mobile carrier and your wireless plan. TINE is not responsible for any messaging or data charges imposed by your mobile carrier. Contact your wireless provider for details about your plan.
8. Supported Carriers
TINE messaging is supported on all major US wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and their respective MVNOs. Carrier support for international messaging may vary.
9. User Responsibilities
TINE users who send messages through the platform are required to:
- Obtain proper consent from message recipients before sending any text messages
- Clearly identify themselves in messages and provide their business name or context for the communication
- Honor all opt-out requests immediately and not message recipients who have unsubscribed
- Comply with all applicable laws, including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act, and CTIA guidelines
- Not send messages containing prohibited content, including but not limited to: illegal content, SHAFT content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco/cannabis), phishing, or deceptive messages
- Not use TINE numbers for unsolicited bulk messaging, spam, robocalling, or auto-dialing
- Include opt-out instructions in recurring or marketing messages (e.g., "Reply STOP to unsubscribe")
Violation of these responsibilities may result in immediate account suspension or termination. See our Terms of Service for full acceptable use policies.
10. Sample Messages
The following are examples of messages that may be sent through TINE virtual phone numbers:
- "Hi [Name], this is [User] from [Business]. Just following up on our conversation. Let me know if you have any questions!"
- "Your appointment is confirmed for [Date] at [Time]. Reply to this message if you need to reschedule."
- "Thanks for your order! Your tracking number is [#]. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
- "Hey, this is [Name]. Wanted to check in — are you still available to meet this week?"
11. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Text messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are delivered over mobile carrier networks through our messaging provider (Twilio), and TINE's systems process message content to deliver it, store it so you can see your history, and screen it for abuse. Messages are encrypted in transit between your device and TINE and stored encrypted at rest. To protect recipients and keep our numbers in good standing with carriers, messages sent from TINE numbers are automatically screened for spam, scams, phishing and other prohibited content, by automated systems which may include third-party AI services acting as our processors, and messages that break this policy are refused. Message content, phone numbers and messaging metadata are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or messaging data with third parties for marketing purposes. For full details, see our Privacy Policy at https://tinetech.org/privacy.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Messaging Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the TINE platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Messaging Policy.
